On March 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., Peking University College of Engineering Joint - Peking University National Engineering Laboratory of Big Data Analysis and Application Technology and Energy Research Institute invited Dr. Li Jianfeng, Chief Expert of Sinopec Group and Deputy General Manager of Sinopec Information and Digital Management Department, to give a report entitled: "Accelerating Intelligent Construction and Promoting Digital Transformation of Enterprises", which was held at Peking University (Yingjie) External The presentation was held in the second conference room of Peking University (Yingjie) External Communication Center. The online Tencent conference was held simultaneously.

     Professor Zhang Pingwen, Vice President of Peking University and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Jin Zhijun, President of Energy Research Institute of Peking University and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Associate Professor Song Jie, Vice Dean of School of Engineering of Peking University, Researcher Yang Lei, Vice Dean of Energy Research Institute of Peking University, and more than 80 teachers and students offline attended the presentation. The meeting was hosted by Associate Professor Song Jie, Associate Dean of School of Engineering, Peking University.

       In the report, Dr. Jianfeng Li analyzed in detail the challenges faced by China's energy sector in today's international situation and the great potential of digital transformation in the energy sector to ensure energy security, reduce energy costs and improve energy utilization efficiency to the participating students and faculty with Sinopec as an example, comprehensively introduced the progress of Sinopec's intelligent construction in the past ten years, discussed the technical path of digital transformation and upgrading development of the enterprise, and looked forward to the Dr. Li then gave a speech on the future of "smart petrochemical", "smart enterprise" and "digital world". After that, Dr. Li Jianfeng gave a detailed presentation on "data governance in digitalization", "data management in blockchain" and "when the inflection point of enterprise transformation will come". He gave detailed answers on both management and technology.

Concluding remarks by Academician Jin Zhijun

    Finally, Professor Jin Zhijun, President of the Energy Research Institute of Peking University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, summarized and commented on the report. In particular, Prof. Jin pointed out that information technology and intelligence can effectively improve and enhance the competitiveness of traditional industries. In the context of the national strategy to achieve "carbon peak" and "carbon neutral", it is expected that students and teachers of Peking University can join hands with Sinopec and other enterprises to lead the development of national strategies and technologies. The presentation was a great success.

       Through this presentation, the students and teachers had a deeper understanding of the intelligent construction and digital transformation of enterprises, and fully realized the strategic significance of digital transformation to the development of enterprises. It is believed that in the future, digitalization will have further breakthroughs for the transformation and upgrading of China's energy industry.
