Zeng Lianbo, born in November 1967 in Yuanjiang, Hunan Province, Ph.D., second-level professor and doctoral supervisor of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Mainly engaged in the formation, distribution and prediction technology research of complex oil and gas reservoirs (fractured reservoir, low permeability reservoir, unconventional oil and gas reservoir). He is responsible for more than 60 key and general projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, major national science and technology projects and key science and technology projects of three major petroleum companies. He has made a series of innovative achievements in multi-scale fracture formation and distribution, geomechanical evaluation and prediction of unconventional oil and gas reservoirs, and structure-diagenesis theory and method. He has published more than 200 academic papers (78 as the first author and 72 as the corresponding author) in AAPG Bulletin, Marine and Petroleum Geology, and 5 monographs. 18 national invention patents have been authorized and 7 computer software Copyrights have been registered. As the first accomplisher, he has won 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress award, 6 first prizes and 2 second and third prizes of China's Top Ten Geological Science and Technology Progress and provincial science and Technology Awards. He was selected as a distinguished professor of the 2013-2014 Changjiang Scholars Program, a New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education in 2007, and won the National Petroleum and Petrochemical Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker, The Innovation Award of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation, the Capital Education Pioneer Scientific and Technological Innovation Individual, and the Commemorative Medal of celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. He is also deputy editor of Energy Geoscience, editorial board member of Petroleum Science, Acta Petrolei Sinica, Petroleum Science Bulletin, Journal of Southwest Petroleum University, member of Expert Committee of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and Academic Committee member of Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Shale Gas Resource Utilization.
