Dr. Jin is a renowned scholar with a distinguished career in research, teaching and managing large institutions. He is a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Expert Advisory Committee of the National Energy Commission, the Basic Research Strategic Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Vice President of the Council of Chinese Petroleum Society.

Among many innovative achievements in geological research and exploration practice, Dr. Jin has established a national research lab on hydrocarbon formation mechanism. His pioneer work on the earth deep fluids has provided guidance for research on environment and hydrocarbon natural resources.

Dr. Jin received his Ph.D. from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
