Wu Hui is a Boya Young Scholar of PKU who has been selected for a national talent program for young scientists and is honored as a Future Leader of the American Rock Mechanics Association. His research focuses on the understanding, modeling, and analysis of hydro-thermal-mechanical coupled process in subsurface systems, and the application of deep learning for subsurface reservoirs. He is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Geoenergy Science and Engineering and an editor of a special issue of Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering. He serves as a reviewer for more than 20 academic journals, including Applied Energy, Water Resources Research, and Geothermics. He has received the Global Security Gold Award from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory twice and was selected as a Future Leader by the American Rock Mechanics Association in 2022. As the first author, he has published 35 papers in foreign and domestic journals and conferences such as Water Resources Research, Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering, and the Journal of Hydrology.
