YANG Yufeng

个人简介

Yang Yufeng is currently a full-time Distinguished Research Fellow at the PKU Institute of Energy, as well as the Chief Scientist and division head of energy strategy and carbon neutrality pathways at the PKU Ordos Research Institute of Energy. He obtained his Ph.D from the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering of Tsinghua University in 1999. Following hispostdoctoral research at the Division of Energy System Analysis at the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University in 2001, he was appointed Associate Research Professor by Tsinghua University. From 2001 to 2018, he worked at the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, where he was appointed Research Professor in 2013. In 2015, he served as a senior visiting scholar at the Energy Charter Secretariat and in 2017 at the Grantham Institute of Imperial College London. Also, he was the Honorary Research Fellow at the Grantham Institute from 2018 to 2020. He once served as a senior advisor for the IEA, IRENA, and ADB. His current research areas include energy system analysis and strategic planning, “carbon peak & carbon neutrality” pathway optimization and simulation, economic evaluation theories and methods for cutting-edge and disruptive energy technologies, as well as multi-dimensional, multi-scale quantitative methodology and integrated modeling and analysis platform for energy, economy, ecology & environment, and climate change.
