Zhang Guangya is a professor-level senior engineer and doctoral advisor, holding a doctoral degree in oil and gas geology and exploration. Recognized as a senior technical expert and a model employee at CNPC, he has held various roles throughout his career.  Zhang  once  served  as Chief Geologist at  the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development of PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Company. He has also held positions such as Deputy Director of the Department of Geology, Director of the Department of Global Oil and Gas Resources and Strategic Research, and Director of the Department of African Studies at the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development of CNPC.
