Zeng Lianbo is a member of the Expert Committee of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and a member of the Academic Committee of the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory for Shale Oil Gas Resource Exploitation. He holds the title of Changjiang  Distinguished  Professor and has been selected  into the  Program for  New Century  Excellent Talents. Zeng has received various awards and honors, including a second-class State Science and Technology Progress Award (first contributor), recognition in “China's Top 10 Geological Science and Technology Advances,” as well as six provincial and ministerial-level first-class awards, along with two second- and third-class awards for geological scientific and technological progress.
