Zhu Rukai is the Director of the Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir at PetroChina, Deputy Secretary-General of the Committee on Sedimentary Geology of  the   Chinese Geological Society, and a member and Secretary-General of a standardization sub-committee of the Professional Standardization Committee for Petroleum Geological Exploration. He is registered in the Science and Technology Expert Database System. With over 180 publications in renowned journals such as Science China, Chinese Science Bulletin, Acta Petrologica Sinica, Petroleum Exploration and Development, Asian Earth Science, Scientific Reports, and Earth Science Review, Zhu has been recognized three times for authoring  “China's Top  100  Most Influential Academic Papers. ” Ten of his papers have been selected for “Frontrunner 5000, Top Articles in Outstanding S&T Journals of China. ” Additionally, he has published four books as the first author and six books as a co-author, and holds  15 invention patents.
