ZHANG Kaiqiang

个人简介

Zhang Kaiqiang is a Research Fellow and doctoral advisor at the PKU Institute of Energy. As a Boya Young Scholar at PKU, he has been selected for a national talent program for young scientists. Additionally, he holds a joint appointment as a Research Fellow at the PKU Institute of Carbon Neutrality and is a Visiting Researcher at Imperial College London, UK. His research focuses on carbon capture utilization & storage, geo-energy production, and energy system analysis. With more than 70 SCI-indexed papers published and an H-index of 25, he was named on the list of the top 2% of scientists in the world in 2022.

He has led and participated in over 10 foreign and domestic research projects, including some funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) of the UK, and Natural Sciences and Engineering  Research  Council  of Canada (NSERC). He has made over 30 academic presentations at various events and organizations, including conferences, renowned universities, and state-owned enterprises. He is an external reviewer for national science foundations in China, the UK, Canada, and Qatar. Moreover, he serves as a deputy editor-in-chief for three SCI-indexed journals and has chaired a number of sessions at international academic conferences, including the American Chemical Society Meetings and CCUS international conferences.
