Zhang Liuping is a Distinguished Professor at the PKU Institute of Energy and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He has been dedicated to research on oil and gas geology and geophysics. Zhang has successfully led over 30 projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the “793” Program, as well as a strategic pilot technology project of CAS, collaborative basic research projects between CNPC and Peking University, and research projects of CNPC and Sinopec. With over 60 published papers, Zhang holds eight national invention patents, one software copyright, and has won three first-class provincial and ministerial-level awards for scientific and technological progress.
