Zhu Xingshan holds a doctoral degree and the title of professor-level senior economist. He has previously served as the Deputy Chief Economist of the Planning Department of CNPC. Currently, he serves as the Secretary-General of the Petroleum Economics Committee and Vice Chairman of the Unconventional Petroleum and Gas Committee at the Chinese Petroleum Society. His earlier areas of interest included geology, energy strategy, management, and petroleum and gas strategy and planning. At present, his research is focused on carbon neutrality and the integrated development of natural gas and new energy.
