Zhu Dongya graduated from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) with a bachelor's degree in 1998 and earned his Ph.D. from the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering of Nanjing University in 2005. Currently, he holds the position of technical expert and Research Fellow at the SINOPEC Petroleum Exploration and Production Research Institute. His primary research areas include carbonate sedimentary geology, reservoirs, and the impact of fluids on deep oil/gas reservoirs. Zhu has successfully led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, each at the youth, general, and key levels. In addition, he has led a key R&D project of the Ministry of Science and Technology and a pilot sub-project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His honors include the Gold Hammer Award and Huang Jiqing Geological Science and Technology Award for Young Geologists from the Geological Society of China. Zhu has published 95 papers in foreign and domestic renowned journals such as Precambrian Research, AAPG, and Science China, with over 50 papers as the first and corresponding author, including 47 SCI-indexed papers.
